The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Safety coordinates overall emergency planning and preparedness efforts for the schools and district building sites. The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Safety plans and executes activities to prepare staff and students for emergencies: It oversees disaster planning using the five steps of emergency preparedness: Prevention, Preparedness, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery.
Preparedness is one of the most important steps when dealing with emergency crisis. For this reason, receiving raining and practicing drills are key to any sites success in handling an emergency.
