School Resource Officers

Police OfficerA. Tacardon

Caesar Chavez High School

Hello Chavez High School!

My name is Officer Anthony Tacardon, and I’m excited to serve as your School Resource Officer (SRO) this school year. I’m proud to be a graduate of Stagg High School right here in Stockton—so being part of SUSD feels like coming full circle for me.

Before becoming a Police Officer, I began my journey in public safety as a Stockton Unified School District Police Explorer, where I discovered my passion for law enforcement and community service. I was later hired as a Community Service Officer (CSO) with the SUSD Police Department, where I gained valuable hands-on experience and insight into school-based policing. Shortly after, I was selected and sponsored by the department as a Police Trainee to attend the San Joaquin Delta College Police Academy—an opportunity that helped launch my career as a Police Officer serving the very community I grew up in.

When I’m not in uniform, I enjoy hiking, outdoor sports, and trying new restaurants. Staying active and exploring new experiences are important to me, and I bring that same energy and curiosity to my work on campus.

If you see me around school, don’t hesitate to say hi or stop to chat—I’m always happy to connect with students and staff. My goal is to ensure everyone at Chavez High feels safe, supported, and empoweredto succeed.
