Juanita was born and raised in Stockton, and is a proud alumna of Edison High School within the Stockton Unified School District (SUSD). With a career spanning 15 years at SUSD, she has dedicated herself to nurturing students’ confidence, perseverance, and self-esteem across multiple school locations and diverse roles. Her journey began at Ceasar Chavez High School and expanded to include positions at Health Career Academy, Centralized Enrollment, and Student Support Services. Currently, Juanita serves as the Executive Assistant to the Department of Emergency Services and Preparedness, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the health and safety of the community, visitors, students, and faculty.
Outside of work, she is an active member of her church community, participating in initiatives such as feeding the homeless and volunteering at local events. She firmly believes that her contributions at SUSD have a lasting positive impact on the community. Known for her unwavering positivity and boundless energy, Juanita inspires her colleagues to strive for success. Her greatest daily inspirations are her husband, son, and daughters.
