Lieutenant Angelina R. Andrews was born and raised in Elk Grove, California, and has dedicated her career to serving and protecting the communities she serves. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry and holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Leadership.
Lieutenant Andrews began her public service career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) before transitioning into law enforcement in 2016. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of assignments, including School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, and Detective. These experiences have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of community-oriented policing, investigations, training, and organizational leadership.
With more than ten years of public safety experience, Lieutenant Andrews currently serves as the Operations Lieutenant, overseeing patrol operations, special events, and the daily functions of the department. She is committed to developing personnel, promoting professional excellence, and strengthening partnerships between law enforcement, schools, and the community. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in integrity, accountability, collaboration, and service.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Lieutenant Andrews is a dedicated wife and proud mother of two energetic boys who inspire her daily commitment to leadership, service, and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
