Lt. Marquez became a police officer in 1995, beginning his law enforcement career employed with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO). During my tenure with the ACSO, he was assigned to the Santa Rita Jail (SRJ), Alameda County Narcotics Task Force (ACNTF), Eden Township Substation (ETS) Patrol Division, and the Oakland International Airport. He started his career with the Stockton Unified School District Police Department as a Reserve Police Officer in 2002. Lt. Marquez has worked in patrol, a School Resource Officer, and Field Training Officer before promoting to Sergeant. As a Sergeant he oversaw support services and our dispatch center as well as Detectives. Currently he is the Interim Lieutenant overseeing both patrol and support services. Lt. Marquez is member of the California Narcotics Officers Association (CNOA) and has a passion for helping kids who wish to enter a career in law enforcement by assisting them in clearing a path for what some might believe is an unthinkable goal.
